Being Reminded

Daily blogs are a funny thing. Sometimes they have nothing to do with what you are working on (or so you think). Other times, they hit the nail squarely on the head.

The best blogs are the ones that make you think and inspire you to act. The trick is to be able to balance all that you have happening in your life with the time to squeeze everything in that you are driven to accomplish.

We all want to experience 100% engagement in all that we do, but most times that is unrealistic. However, small nibbles around the same project or fine tuning the message is the first step towards accomplishing great things.

Consider this my reminder to you to do one thing – jut one thing that you’ve been meaning to do for yourself, your team, your organization, that you didn’t have on your “to do” list today. Instead of scrolling through the images from the Oscars last night, take ten minutes to write the email you’ve been putting off, or brainstorm some new ideas for a fundraiser.

We have a great deal of work ahead of us to move arts marketing forward. My challenge to you is to take the oar in your hand for today and make just one stroke for your cause, your next project, your main mission. Tomorrow, we’ll work on stroke number two.
